Abstract

Globalization has greatly changed the local culture and economy, and brought more capital, goods, information and personnel flows. It provides opportunities for integration and innovation, but it also brings unequal results, cultural hybridization and new forms of vulnerability. This study focuses on the process of economic restructuring and cultural transformation, based on the theory of glocalization, the viewpoint of cultural hybridization, and the analysis of the world system. When we realized these trends, we saw changes: the protected local market became a global value chain, the fixed tradition became a commercialized and mixed cultural form, and the unified development model became an adaptive strategy to adapt to the environment. Specific mechanisms, such as participation in global value chains, cultural tourism and remittances from expatriates, show us the risks of income increase and market access, as well as dependence and loss of identity. The application of agriculture, creative industries and urban economy has had a significant impact on people’s life and cultural habits. There are still problems such as increasing inequality, commercialization of culture and loss of autonomy in making laws. Looking ahead, we talk about global governance, fairer trade rules and a mixture of community leadership. The analysis shows that the influence of globalization on local institutions is not always good or bad. All this depends on the ability of local negotiation and integration to maintain its cultural and economic importance.
