The Creation of AI-Generated Short Dramas Featuring Human-Like Characters Based on Relational Authorship Theory: A Study of Human–Machine Relationships and Aesthetic Judgement

Abstract

With the rapid increase of short drama produced by AI similar to human characters, the discussion about creative ability has begun again. In other words, if machine can create real characters and acting skills, where is the value of human creation? This paper focuses on the central thing of “human decision” by using relational authorship theory, as a key word to understand the unchangeable role of human beings when they are making together with machine. “aesthetic judgement has entered the whole process of creation-choosing themes, thinking ideas, doing a good job in prompt, selecting materials, adjusting mood and adjusting rhythm. Finally, decide the appearance and touching mood of the work. This paper investigates several representative AI-simulated short drama, analyzes how this power works in different stages of creation, and tries to provide a theoretical framework for clarifying the value of human creation again in the increasing use of AI tools.
