Abstract

Based on the gravitational model, this paper explores the relationship between the fluctuation of the RMB exchange rate and the trade structure compatibility of the “Belt and Road” countries. Under the “Belt and Road” initiative, the trade volume between China and the countries along the route has expanded significantly, and the fluctuation of the RMB exchange rate has a significant impact. The paper analyzes the mechanism of its influence on trade commodities, regions and methods of structure, and proposes strategies such as stabilizing exchange rate expectations, optimizing trade structure, strengthening financial cooperation and deepening policy communication to promote the sustained and healthy development of trade.
